WHO IS LATOYA HERON?

LaToya Heron is a Bronx native with a curiosity for exploring the intersections of African-American studies and marketing. After graduating from the University of Rochester with a degree in African-American studies, LaToya went on to earn her master's in Branding and Integrated Communications from CUNY City College of New York. With a dynamic career spanning over a decade, she has worked in PR, advertising, and marketing communications, leaving her indelible mark on the entertainment, media, and medical technology industries.

LaToya's experience lies in deploying omnichannel marketing communications, brand activation, and partnership strategies to drive awareness and engagement. She has successfully led cross-functional teams to create meaningful brand experiences that resonate with audiences across all touchpoints. Her innovative approach has been recognized by industry peers, and she has been invited to speak at various events, including PRWeek’s Healthcare Conference & Awards. Both a mentor and member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., she enjoys giving back by helping the next generation of marketing and communications professionals achieve their goals.

In her spare time, LaToya enjoys indulging in her love of Disney movies and 90's R&B/Pop music. You might also find her challenging someone on the dance floor, traveling to new and exciting destinations, or speaking on a panel near you.
